• Develops appropriate research and development systems for expansion of the tax or dutiable base, coordinating the preparation of revenue estimates, review of tax assessment and revenue collection strategies and reporting procedures.

• Supervises the development of an IT strategy, Computerization programmes and plans for the Authority and its Agencies and supervises its implementation.

• Prepares Strategic and Corporate Plans for the Authority and

• Coordinates research into tax related issues such as the impact of tax compliance on taxpayers, the effect of smuggling and/or tax evasion on cost of collection and publishes the findings.
