The National Revenue Authority’s Customs Services Department (CSD) has received three new Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles from the Commissioner General, presented by the Director of Administration Mrs. Fredricka M. Kella. These vehicles are designated for deployment at key border outstations including Gbalamuya, Kambia district, Lungi, and Jendema, Pujehun District. This addition of vehicles aims to enhance customs operations by improving revenue collection, border surveillance, and anti-smuggling efforts at major border crossing points.
The Commissioner of Customs Services Department Tennyson Bio expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing that the vehicles will enable customs officers to navigate challenging terrains more efficiently and perform their duties with greater effectiveness.
While receiving the keys to the vehicles, the Assistant Commissioner for Border Controls and Management John B. Amara highlighted that the new fleet will empower officers to maintain a proactive presence at the borders and ensure accurate revenue collection for the state.
