Job Title: (b) Assistant Director Administration (Administration Department)
Classified Grade: Management
Reports to: Director Administration
Supervises: Managers in the various Sections of the Admin Department
Job: Purpose:
- Provide administrative support to the Director
- Monitor and evaluate tenancy agreements and check on return on investment
- Assist with development, documentation and administration of policies
- Supervise the functions in the Maintenance, Logistics, Stores, Estates Unit and the Transport Division
- Assist in managing the Authority’s assets through a computerized ad organized asset management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate advice on all matters relating to the administrative functions of the Authority in the areas Estate Management, Maintenance Engineering, Logistics and Stores Management
- Advice on all developmental and expansion projects of the Authority in line with changes that may occur during the rolling-out of the modernization programme.
- To pursue and implement plans for the acquisition of an NRA House and other infrastructural development
- Management of existing NRA’s accommodation including liaison with owners of properties.
- Maintenance of all Authority machinery, equipment and assets
- Transportation, fuel and logistics management
- Stores management
- Develop appropriate policies from time to time to ensure proper utilization and effective functioning of the administrative matters of the Authority.
- Develop and manage effective Security Services for the Authority
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the Commissioner-General.
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum if a masters degree or its equivalent from a recognized institute or higher learning in the field of Public Administration or similar discipline
- A minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience at comparable level in a large organisation with a significant experience in Logistics Management Administration Strategies.
- Management of material resources
- Analytical skills and ability to manage critical issues under pressure.
